Knitting and Looking for Work

I am a social worker by training and a knitter by passion (if you will). I am currently looking for a social work position in the Champaign/Bloomington area. I spend a lot of my free time knitting, mostly for friends, but sometimes for me. I started knitting about 3 years ago, just knitting scarves. Now, I knit afghans, of which I have made 3, and fashion accessories, mostly shoulder bags and purses, most of which I will also give away. I have found knitting to be a deeply spiritual activity, especially with the the rhythm of a simple, repetitive motion. More complicated projects sometimes require more attention and a certain frame of mind.

I am also a member of the local Unitarian-Universalist Church. That makes me a religious liberal.
